Vibrant, spice-tinged red and dark berry scents, along with suggestions of smoky minerals, olive and licorice. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors that deepen through the midpalate. Shows fine delineation and spicy thrust on an impressively long, chewy finish framed by dusty, building tannins. Made from vines 60-plus years old in Saint-Jean-de-Muzols; 15% whole clusters.
